After 30 years Wallis is now providing logistics management directly to sales engineers and main contractors, while continuing to develop integrated support through all levels of construction supply chains. Our expertise has been utilised in consolidating the packing and stowage of the cargo, arranging documentation and insurance right through to final site delivery. We have shipped industrial fans for some of the most important road tunnels constructed around the globe including Sydney Harbour, along with soil reinforcement materials for the Bosporous Bridge in Istanbul. Water treatment materials for the Cairo Waste Water project, airfield lighting equipment for Chep Lap Kok airport in Hong Kong and railway signalling equipment for the China – Kowloon railway, are just a few of the other construction project cargoes we have handled for satisfied clients over the years. SUPERVISION OF CARGO LOADING
Our heavy equipment logistic teams use our most trusted suppliers to ensure loading and lashing is always completed to the highest standard. Our teams are also part of project cargo handling operations and are often involved with the supervision (and photography) of packing and dispatch to ensure the equipment is loaded correctly. This gives our customers confidence that their cargo is being handled safely and effectively. For containerised cargo we will also work with our customers on stowage plans to make sure loading goes to plan. When transporting construction project cargoes our expert teams always ensure the correct project service is used, whether this be out of gauge, breakbulk, vessel charter or RO-RO we will always choose the best option.
