FULL OR PART CONTAINER LOADS AVAILABLE
Full container load (FCL) sea freight uses large 20ft or 40ft ocean containers at a flat rate to ship anything from commercial palletised freight to domestic household goods and even vehicles.
Less than container loads (LCL) – aka groupage – we can group and consolidate your smaller shipments into a full container.
LCL shipments can be cheaper and faster as they tap into more flexible sailing schedules, leading to quicker transit times. Some restrictions apply, however, so get in touch for more information.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Groupage is a great way to save on transport costs. Pricing takes into account the size, weight and collection/ delivery address of your goods. HOW SHOULD I SUPPLY MY FREIGHT TO YOU?
Palletised freight is the most effective way to reduce transport costs and minimise the risk of damage. Goods despatched by groupage services will be transhipped en route and the pallets must be strong enough to withstand the risks associated with moving between different types of transport. Facilities are also available for loose goods suitably packed for transport.
WHAT ARE THE SIZE AND WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS?
Goods exceeding 3m in length and 1,200kg as a single lift will be subject to additional costs.
WHEN DO YOU COLLECT THE FREIGHT?
Collections can be arranged during normal working hours, Monday to Friday, and at other times or weekends by arrangement.
CAN YOU ARRANGE CUSTOMS CLEARANCE?
IFL has Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) accreditation with HM Customs & Excise. We also have our own office in Dover specialising in export and import customs clearance. Currently goods to and from the EU are not subject to customs control but if this changes post-Brexit we are ready to handle the customs procedures.

WHAT IS PALLET DELIVERY?
Pallets are used for heavy, large or smaller items in bulk. They are designed to support the weight of the goods and to ensure your cargo arrives safe and secure. A forklift is used to load pallets onto the loading truck and minimises the risks of damage through manual handling.
HOW DO I SEND A PALLET?
To send a pallet with IFL, you must supply your own pallet and wrapping, and make sure that your pallet is suitable and stable for transportation. HOW MUCH DOES PALLET DELIVERY COST?
Shipping costs take into account the size of the shipment, the weight, and the collection and delivery address. The more flexible you are on delivery times the lower the freight rates will be. IFL does not handle personal effects as this involves different shipping terms, insurances and exclusions from commercial freight. We can refer these enquiries on to a specialist company.
